This is the ultimate ambient sedation thread!

Make an ambient sound scape - upload it somewhere - post it and discuss!

here's one i did today. synth is FM8, bass & guitar thru pedalboards.

HOLY FRELL...I am absolutely blown away by that Stevil. Seriously.
Do you have an official project for that? Totally reminds me of Patrick O'hearn type stuff.

*is already on listen numero three for your song* wow

Here's two ambient/chillscape type songs I made recently

Vandalaze - Unsumer (Official Music Video)

Vandalaze - Andor Genesis

(my friend said that one reminded him of Shriekback's Coelacanth)

thanks! glad ya like it. not familiar with Patrick O'hearn i'll look him up.

these days i'm throwing all my random solo meanderings under Endangered Frequencies. no stylistic limitations or agenda, just whatever i feel like recording.

i been listening to a ton of ambient guitar stuff recently, predominantly an act called Lowercase Noises.

thats a sweet leaky air reverse windpipe thing going on the second one, makes for a nice blend of melody & agitation. listening to Coelocanth now, there's a similar palette of texture going on with the panflute thingy. nice.

Just Mopho and Monotribe droning with the Noiseswash. Delay is Valhalla.

i dig it, it's very grinding & mechanical on top with a slow pulse droning underneath. the power up & down bits @ the beginning & end where it feels like a massive tesla generator is gearing up & there's a couple spots in the middle where it feels like a reactor pool is about to blow.

a couple bits reminded me of a lil droning noise piece i threw in near the end of "soaked". it's a mellow chunk of a song thru a doppler effect & a shitload of reverb.

Here's something I originally did for Zero Demographic

Nice stuff, everyone!

I agree about the stuff posted in this thread so far being really interesting. I sometimes experiment with different soundscapes and ambient landscapes. Often as parts or backgrounds of non-ambient songs. Like this on for example:

Its not that superdroneminimal, but neither is the first posted song and that one is awesome. :)

Anyway. I got really inspired by this thread and i'm going to see what comes out of it. Cheers!

Loved that track when I first heard it too. Wish ZD could have worked out, there was a ton of great music to showcase.

FYI- you are never far away from making music: http://audiotool.com
I use that site sometimes when I am away from the studio. You can really do some incredible stuff with the devices they have available-and free :D

Holy fucking balls! This thread delivers!! :D

I fucking LOVE Ambient music and drone sounds.

I'm loving the tracks Stevil and Mechatwin posted so far. Great job guys! :D

Soillodge, your track is something I'd use to study. That electric hum-type noise is perfect for background listening.

5arah, the creepiness of your track would fit perfectly as the soundtrack for Ravenholm in Half-Life 2 Ep.1. I love it :D

T.W.A.T., awesome track! I like how the song evolved and changed with the beats.

Man I wish I'd still have my gear. I used to explore ambient soundscapes a lot. I'd start an ambient pad, turn on my digital recorder and tweak the shit out the patch for hours of fun. Too bad all of those recordings are gone.
I think I may still have some somewhere, might have to dig up some stuff.

The only thing I have to contribute right now is this lame pad I did about a year ago while testing the Roland MC909. It sounded cool back then but right now not so much. The Brian Eno influence is quite obvious I think :P

If I find more stuff I'll post here.

LOVE IT! Heck I'd say I like that more than most the tracks I heard off the new Ohgr and Puppy cd.

I think you should! I really enjoy your EBM direction, but like I said in the email, I love music that just does not fit nicely anywhere. Stuff that tries new ideas and approaches.

Here is a track I did for the unreleased R010R LP. It was created live, no sequencing and was very ambient-noise and obviously COIL influenced. Then I added a very noisy drum loop & noise loop, but kept it low in the mix. Just a shadow of a structure.

Yeah thnx michael, i think i will! Its been on ice for quite a while, but i will probably do more prototyp stuff now, even though t.w.a.t. remains my main project time n effortwise... :)

Great track btw! Epic sounding strings/pads and the beats are really cool. Almost sounds like Cylob from time to time. Really nice!

Thanks Martin. I wanted to get some brass sounding textures and then the whole thing started to sound like Scorn to me so I added the drum sections, dragged them out and cut-paste them old school style.

If you need an accomplice with your Prototyp effort, let me know. I know it is not your main thing, but I am very interested in hearing more of the stuff like you have been posting lately. All that grey area has a ton of potential.
